ACCELERATED DESIGN.

Avanti Health Centres needed to open 3 gym facilities in Queensland (Townsville, Caloundra, and Southport). They were looking for a ‘Hamptons-meets-seaside” feel for their client base of people over 50. A rapid deployment was critical to help them achieve their funding milestones so each site was completed simultaneously. mission was clear: deliver each site by their strict pre-Christmas deadline, without compromising on quality.

WEEKLY
UPDATES.

We provided weekly update reports, including images, and regular meetings to ensure all aspects – from design to resourcing – were streamlined to meet Avanti’s timeline. This allowed for faster approval processes for potential design changes so we could stick to our tight schedule, overcoming variations quickly and efficiently.

ON-SITE
MEETINGS.

Throughout the construction phase, we pre-planned several on-site meetings with Avanti to ensure quality and transparency at every step. This also meant our team could implement fast value engineering processes when required.

NAVIGATING
COVID-19.

Due to COVID-19 delays, some of Avanti’s specific design requirements could not be fulfilled and, due to supply shortages, some materials were unavailable. Our team worked closely with Avanti to find alternative materials and overcome various scenarios, helping them avoid potential delays and cost blowouts.

SUSTAINABILITY &
ADAPTABILITY.

Our design team focused on sustainable practices and materials throughout the projects, to align with the clientele who would be using these facilities. Unfortunately, a specific carpet (made from recycled fishing nets), was unavailable at the time. Thankfully, our resourceful team was able to source a similar low environmental impact product, which is manufactured from 100% regenerated nylon, including yarn waste.

ON-TIME. ON-BUDGET.

The Interite team delivered on the project brief of a ‘Hamptons meets seaside’ space, creating facilities that empower their clients and provide a de-institutionalised feel. We’re proud to say that every site was delivered on time and on budget. Since the success of this project, we’ve also begun delivery on 3 more Avanti sites across Australia.
