With the help of ACCAP funding, Capecare sought to upgrade their facility to better support residents with dementia, addressing issues such as disorienting wayfinding, non-compliant materials, and poor acoustics.

We delivered dementia-informed design solutions, including the use of materials with appropriate LRV values, improved acoustics, and memory-supportive elements. The updated palette supports changing cognition and vision, while upgraded private and communal spaces are designed to reduce confusion and enhance quality of care.
