As one of Australia’s premier health precincts with a 24-bed capacity (and plans for expansion) Linear Clinical is a stage 1 clinical trials facility that’s completed over 145 first in-human trials using 20,000+ volunteers. They needed a turn-key solution including site selection, property analysis, interior design, and construction.
Interite were engaged to design and construct a state-of-the-art Day Hospital in East Melbourne. Our expertise in healthcare design and construction enabled us to balance the facility’s clinical precision with a warm, patient-centric environment.
We managed every aspect of the project, ensuring optimized workflows, strict air quality control, and compliance with the highest industry standards. The result is a cutting-edge hospital designed to support both medical professionals and patients with efficiency, safety, and comfort.
This new location for Montserrat Day Hospitals’ Western Haematology & Oncology Clinics in West Perth required Interite to develop a concept which remained on brand, functional and welcoming.
Interite successfully delivered what is the final result of this project through the use of a select colour palette to promote cleanliness and productivity, whilst aligning to the blue hues of the Montserrat Day Hospitals branding.
The design capitalises on the use of natural lighting and local surroundings through the implementation of floor to ceiling windows in the waiting areas and consult areas looking out to local greenery, creating a balance of natural elements and mitigating the sterile stigma in modern environments.
The reception area is specially designed to offer not only a welcoming appearance and positive, distinctive first impression, but also ease in accessibility with the varied counter top heights.
The waiting area Is arranged in a ‘café’ layout, offering clients options and assisting in comfort and positive client experiences throughout the space.

Sustainability is a core element in all of our designs. We prioritise eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems, and sustainable practices and believe good design does more than simply meet environmental standards. Energy-efficient day hospital design has to balance sustainability with clinical performance. In practice, that means zoned HVAC strategies, efficient plant selection, durable low-maintenance finishes, LED lighting, low-VOC materials and lifecycle thinking, while still protecting infection control and theatre performance.
