Perth ENT Centre is Perth’s premier ear, nose and throat specialist and one of the few groups of Otolaryngologists in Australia whose services focus primarily on children and adolescents. This exciting expansion saw the Centre staff remaining in the existing tenancy while works progressed next door, so careful planning and execution of all construction activities was imperative. To adequately cater for what is a predominantly young demographic, the resultant space needed to be suitable for all ages and cleverly designed to mitigate any forecast acoustic concerns in both the front and back of house areas. A children’s corner housing a custom-designed tree was used to appeal to young visitors and absorb the noise of their play. The durable, hard-wearing finishes facilitate the energy of children whilst still being sophisticated enough for their adult carers and other senior patients.
