Garran Medical Imaging required a new medical imaging clinic in Turner, ACT, capable of accommodating seven advanced imaging modalities within a compact 460m² footprint. The project challenge was significant. Heavy imaging equipment, strict shielding requirements and extensive technical infrastructure had to be integrated without compromising patient privacy, staff efficiency or the overall clinic experience.

Interite delivered a highly efficient, purpose-built facility that maximises every square metre of the site. The layout carefully manages patient and staff movement, separating back-of-house functions while maintaining clear, intuitive circulation throughout. All seven modalities — PET CT and Theranostics, MRI, Weight Bearing CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound and 3D Mammography — are seamlessly integrated alongside reporting rooms, consult spaces and essential support areas, without the footprint feeling constrained.

A contemporary palette of fresh blues, crisp whites and warm timber offsets the technical nature of the space and creates a modern space that feels reassuring and patient-focused. The result is a sophisticated medical facility that successfully integrates complex imaging infrastructure within a thoughtful, patient-centred design; a clear example of how Interite makes the complex, simple.
