Interite partnered with Arethusa College to transform a commercial office building in central Caboolture into a flexible, multi-purpose urban high school and head office.
The project reflects Arethusa’s unique approach to education, which prioritises open-plan, adaptable spaces that support alternative learning methods. Working closely with the client, Interite delivered a considered interior refurbishment across three floors—balancing the functional needs of a school and the operational requirements of the college’s corporate headquarters.
The ground floor was reimagined as the main teaching hub, featuring learning zones, dual receptions, staff offices, and low-sensory retreat spaces. Interite also upgraded staff amenities and delivered new student bathrooms to suit increased occupancy. To align with Arethusa’s broader campus network, all finishes—including carpets, paint colours and fixtures—were selected to maintain consistency with other college sites. Durable, economical materials were prioritised for longevity in high-use areas.
The refurbishment was carefully staged and delivered within tight timeframes, coinciding with school holidays and key shutdown periods to minimise disruption. Arethusa has adopted a phased development strategy, with plans to expand learning spaces into upper floors as enrolments grow—making this fitout a future-ready foundation for the college’s long-term vision.
