Open Minds is an independent, not-for-profit (NFP) organisation, working with people to enhance their mental health and wellbeing. This core purpose of the organisation needed to be reflected throughout the environment’s workflow and visual brand and culture. Interite Healthcare Interiors developed and executed a design concept in which embodies this built-for-purpose ideology, whilst also maintaining a sense of cleanliness and comfort. This concept provides the client with the best possible working environment for all users of the space. The clever implementation of plants throughout the space and timber facades influences a calming and refreshing impression of the space, diverting away from the traditional clinical stigma. This is balanced through the use of clean lines and symmetry throughout and the utilisation of a blue and white colour palette. The full scope of the works included floor finishes, furnishings, electrical works, partitioning, painting, air-conditioning works, and minor structural amendments.
