Spanning across one floor of 1500m2 the Linear Clinical Trial site is equipped to temporarily home up to 24 in-patients while they contribute to valuable research programs, assisting in the progression of healthcare. There are three separate zones to support infection control and the provision of multiple trial designs.

This truly is a facility designed to enhance patient and staff experience; our design team has conformed to compliance regulations and designed a space not only to function as a healthcare facility but also a workplace and living space.

Extensive consultation with all users of the existing Linear Clinical Research space was a significant component of this project. Staff movements were tracked to report how improvements in the new floor plan can reduce employee fatigue and increase operational efficiency and output.

The Joondalup Early Phase Centre will give all users a five-star hotel experience with all the comforts of home; a home away from home for those having a lengthier stay for their program needs. Easy to clean flooring, healthcare application approved, as well as acoustic properties to minimise echo and provide acoustic security in confidential spaces was well considered and applied throughout the space.

The centre is sophisticated and remarkable, in its design and its contribution the advancement of healthcare on a global scale. We are beyond proud to have designed and delivered this exceptional medical trials facility, the first of its kind in Western Australia.
